Unacceptable Materials

The Dumpster Divers can not dispose of any hazardous waste. The term “hazardous material” shall include but not be limited to, any amount of waste listed or characterized as hazardous by the United States Environmental Protection Agency or any state agency pursuant to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976, an enabled or applicable state law. The customer expressly agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless The Dumpster Divers from and against any and all damages, penalties, fines and liabilities resulting from or arising out of costumers improper disposal of hazardous waste.

*Unacceptable or hazardous materials include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Asbestos
  • Fuels
  • Propane tanks
  • Batteries
  • Paint (unless dried latex)
  • Dirt
  • Rocks
  • Kitchen garbage (food)
  • Railroad ties
  • Oils
  • Concrete, dirt and Large Rocks must be in a separate dumpster
  • Industrial waste
  • Chemical products
  • Oil filters
  • Herbicides & Pesticides
  • Radioactive material
  • Solvents
  • Other flammable liquids
  • Aerosol cans
  • Antifreeze
  • Petroleum-contaminated soil/lead paint chips
  • Fluorescent tubes
  • Medical waste
  • Animals
  • Barrels
  • All liquids

If the contents of the dumpster are not accepted at the transfer station, they may be returend to you.

It is unlawful to improperly dispose of any radioactive, volatile, highly flammable, explosive, biomedical, infectious, toxic, or hazardous material. When in doubt, please ask!
